Refund & Right of Withdrawal
This policy explains your statutory right of withdrawal (diritto di recesso), how it applies to digital products delivered instantly, and how to request a refund. It forms part of our Terms of Service and, for the college Coach Database, our Data Licence.

1. Your 14-day right of withdrawal
If you are a consumer resident in the EU/EEA, you have the right to withdraw from a purchase within 14 days without giving any reason, under Articles 52–59 of the Italian Consumer Code (Codice del Consumo, D.Lgs. 206/2005) implementing Directive 2011/83/EU. The period runs from the day of the conclusion of the contract for services and digital content. This right does not apply to purchases made in the course of a business, trade, or profession (B2B), which are governed by our Terms and the Data Licence.
2. Important exception for instant digital content
The college Coach Database, platform subscriptions, and credit packs are all instantly-activated digital content supplied on a non-tangible medium. Under Article 59(1)(o) of the Consumer Code (Art. 16(m) of Directive 2011/83/EU), the right of withdrawal is lost once performance has begun with your prior express consent and your acknowledgement that you thereby lose the right of withdrawal.
At checkout — for every one of these products — you are asked to tick a box confirming that you request immediate access and that you understand you lose the 14-day right of withdrawal once you download the file (one-time purchases) or once your subscription, credits, or database access are first made available. We record this consent with a timestamp against your order, and the acknowledgement is shown again on the payment page. Checkout cannot proceed without it. If you would rather keep the withdrawal right, do not tick the box and do not purchase.
3. Subscriptions
Monthly and annual plans (platform subscriptions and Coach Database subscriptions) begin immediately upon purchase and renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time — from your account settings, the Stripe billing portal linked in your confirmation email, or by contacting us. Cancellation stops future renewals and takes effect at the end of the current paid period; you keep access until then.
Because subscription access is made available immediately with your express consent given at checkout (see §2), fees already paid for the current period are not refundable except where required by law (see §5). We do not provide pro-rata refunds for unused time in a period.
4. One-time purchases
For one-time Coach Database purchases, you may withdraw for a full refund at any time before you download the file. Once you have downloaded it, performance is complete and the withdrawal right no longer applies (see §2). We may still offer a discretionary refund on a case-by-case basis.
5. When you are entitled to a refund
- You withdrew within 14 days and, for digital content, had not yet begun/consented to performance (§1–§2).
- Non-conforming or defective content. If the product is materially not as described, corrupted, or unusable, you are entitled to a remedy (repair, replacement, price reduction, or refund) under the statutory guarantee for digital content (Arts. 128–135-vicies ter of the Consumer Code, implementing Directive 2019/770).
- You were charged in error or double-charged.
- A subscription renewed after you had already requested cancellation.
Statutory consumer rights are never waived or limited by this policy. Nothing here affects your mandatory rights under Italian and EU law.
6. How to withdraw or request a refund
Email [email protected] (or [email protected]) with your order/receipt email, the purchase date, and — for withdrawals — a clear statement of your decision to withdraw. You may use the model withdrawal form below but it is not mandatory.

7. Refund method & timing
Approved refunds are issued to your original payment method via Stripe, normally within 14 days of us accepting the request. We do not charge a fee for refunds; your bank or card issuer may take additional days to post the credit.
8. Dispute resolution
If you are not satisfied, contact us first at [email protected] and we will try to resolve the matter.
The European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform was shut down on 20 July 2025 under Regulation (EU) 2024/3228 and is no longer available. EU/EEA consumers can instead contact a certified alternative dispute resolution (ADR) body — in Italy, an organismo ADR registered with the relevant authority — or, for cross-border purchases, the European Consumer Centre (ECC-Net) in their country of residence. We are not currently signed up to any specific ADR body, and participation in ADR is voluntary for us unless the law requires otherwise. This does not affect your right to bring proceedings before the competent courts.
