02NCAA Division II
NCAA Division II is built around balance — competitive athletics combined with academics and a partial-scholarship model — and it has long been a strong landing spot for international student-athletes. AthlyAI helps D2 coaches reach those athletes directly. Filter the athlete pool by sport, position, graduation year, GPA, and country, watch highlight and full-game film, and contact recruits inside the platform — valuable for programs recruiting globally with smaller staffs than Division I.

06Talent
Division II's balanced model — competitive sport, real academics, and partial scholarships often combined with academic aid — has made it a popular destination for international student-athletes. Many overseas athletes bring strong club and academy experience but have limited visibility to US coaches through traditional channels. AthlyAI surfaces these players so Division II programs can recruit from regions they might not otherwise reach and build value-driven recruiting classes. Always confirm current eligibility and scholarship rules with the NCAA Eligibility Center.
07Questions
Division II coaches create a free coach account, get verified, and then search a growing pool of international student-athletes. You can filter by sport, position, graduation year, GPA, country, and athlete status, review highlight and full-game film, and message recruits directly inside the platform. Division II's balanced, partial-scholarship model is a strong fit for many international athletes, and AthlyAI surfaces talent that is hard to reach through US-based recruiting channels.
Yes. Creating a coach account on AthlyAI is free, and it stays free to search and contact athletes. AthlyAI is an early-stage platform with a growing pool of athletes, so Division II coaches who join now can be among the first to reach new international recruits as the pool expands. This helps D2 programs that often recruit with smaller staffs and budgets than Division I.
NCAA Division II generally uses a partial-scholarship (equivalency) model, where programs divide athletic aid across the roster rather than offering only full rides, often combined with academic aid. The 2025 House settlement changed roster and scholarship limits across NCAA sports, so the exact numbers depend on the current rules and the school. Do not treat any single figure as fixed — verify current limits with the NCAA Eligibility Center and your conference compliance office.
Yes. Athletes targeting NCAA Division II must register with the NCAA Eligibility Center, which evaluates their transcripts and amateurism status. As a coach, encourage recruits to start that process early, and always verify current eligibility and scholarship rules with the NCAA Eligibility Center, since requirements and limits change.
Yes. AthlyAI athlete profiles include highlight and full-game film where the player has uploaded it, along with sport, position, graduation year, GPA, and country. You can evaluate film and academic fit before you reach out, which makes your outreach more targeted than a cold recruiting list.
Traditional recruiting databases are built mainly around US high-school athletes and often charge recurring fees for access. AthlyAI is focused on international athletes who are largely invisible in those systems, gives verified coaches free access, and includes an AI assistant, Jarvis, to help you search and shortlist players faster. For Division II coaches who recruit a lot of international talent, it is a different pool of athletes, not a re-packaging of the same US recruiting lists.
